The job profile of the biologist will include: coordinating, implementing (doing field work) and reporting on the Phase-IV of the tiger monitoring exercise; he/she will have to liaison with the Forest Department and National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), in addition to helping out in some day to day Forest Department activities in and around the park headquarters. The main research activities will be those that are prioritised by the Arunachal Pradesh Forest Department and NTCA, however oppurtunities for independent research might be available based on individual motivation. Candidates eligible to apply should have an MSc. in Botany/Zoology/Wildlife Biology, know how to ride a motorcycle, be comfortable in written and spoken English, know basic Hindi, and be prepared to work in tough conditions. The pay is Rs. 14,000/- a month, and basic rations will be provided while in the field.
