Greetings from the *Indian Turtle Conservation Action Network*!!
ITCAN is a country wide citizen science network aimed towards conserving
freshwater turtles and tortoises of India. This network was created to address
the dearth of knowledge existing on freshwater turtles and tortoises of
India, their identification and information on species distribution.
In light of World Turtle Day 2022, ITCAN have organized a chelonian meme
competition – "*Chel O Meme"*.
Send us your original meme/comics on Turtle and Tortoise species with lots
of humour. Make sure to make it fun and bursting with your creativity and
skill.
Take part to stand a chance to win some exciting gifts!

*Entry Deadline:* Friday 20th May 2022.

*Announcement of Winner: *23rd May 2022 on ITCAN social media pages.
*Entry guidelines:*
- All meme should feature any freshwater turtle or tortoise of India to
raise awareness about the species.
- Entries should be original work completed by the artist.
Offensive/obscene/lewd/misrepresentation memes will not be approved for
entry into the competition
- Competition is open to all ages using any technique, medium, style, or
template.
- Memes may be submitted in any language – all memes that are submitted
in languages other than English must have an English translation and a
brief explanation, if implied humor is not obvious.
- All published meme will be credited with a copyright notice in the
following form: “© Artist Name.”
- Entries may be submitted until the closing date on Friday 20th May
2022, 11:59 PM IST. No entries will be considered after the closing date.
- Art work must be submitted in digital form by scanning or
photographing the handmade work. Entries will be accepted in high
resolution .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf format and file size should be no
larger than 5mb.
- In case of multiple memes or a comic strip, merge all photos in a
single pdf and submit the single file.
- Participants must save the file including the meme with their full
name followed by ITCAN (eg. DevSharma_ITCAN.jpeg)
- A panel of judges will determine the winners
