[meego-fi] Couple of ideas

posting again to the list.. Need to start blogging in portal too.
there will 2pcs STE Snowball development board shipped to Tampere LDP soon
(sponsored by STE). I have a dream that MeeGo FI would take a lead in
developing MeeGo support for that HW, maybe starting with current MeeGo 1.2
port and/or going straight to the new future stack with Qt5/QML2/Wayland. In
addition to Snowball, there might be potential to have other more
"customer-oriented" form factors available. See
http://www.igloocommunity.org/. I should probably start this activity as a
project in the MNFI site, is there any objections? If you are interested in
this activity, ping me so I know who would be the initial team on this.
Other idea is to form a registered association (yhdistys, Ry) in Tampere
community. This would make some future activities more easier, that need a
registered legal entity and might involve money etc. I will push this
forward, and would be nice to know what do MNFI Tampere members think about
this? Would you like to join this association in the starting phase already?
Probably you want to know a bit more about first? I could host a
get-together sometime during July with interested people, so ping me for
this also.
