Dave,
It has been our pleasure to have you in the program.
Honestly Wayne and I had a conversation about you just recently and we
were trying to figure out a way to make it easier on you....
Unfortunately the training is fixed by HQ and we have no control over
it.
Again.. and thanks for taking the time to try. If you
find anyone else that might make a good MARS member please let us
know..
Jim

Jim,
Please accept my resignation effective
immediately from the US Army MARS Program. My reason is strictly
medical in nature whereas my degenerative neurological condition
makes the structured nature of the program more than I can
safely handle. From the day-to-day stress from fear of being called to
be an alternate net control station because of not being able to
correctly copy callsigns due to my 80% hearing loss to the hour or
so it takes me to complete my monthly report and everything in
between is too much for me. Please thank everyone, especially Wayne,
AAM3RT, for the training assistance people have given me to date. It
has been greatly appreciated and the experience has disclosed my
limitations. It is not fair to the program to be both a burden and
potential liability because of my health.
Feel free to contact me but my decision stands.
This is a resignation due to medical reasons only. My health is being
impacted.
73,
Dave Hamm, K4EET
