I agree,,, it was over looked and should not be again. We need a standardized "CANNED" program that we use to draft that kind of OPORD. That way nothing gets left out. DC would have been our primary outlet if something actually had happened. --- On Fri, 1/23/09, Wayne <AAT3GI@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Wayne <AAT3GI@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: More from /E To: aat3ok@xxxxxxxxx Date: Friday, January 23, 2009, 6:31 PM Jim, I was cc on this message from Bruce 3EVA to Larry 3RE nothing new but interesting and thought you should see it. Larry, One of the 'escapes' in our Alert Notification communications (and NCS instructions) was the lack of explicit instructions to assign liaison station to local VHF repeaters. Due to the poor HF situation at MEMA, the VHF (DC Repeater) capability became an essential and heavily subscribed channel. I chose to enlist VHF liaisons as the initial NCS and that pattern was repeated by subsequent NCS' to good avail. Recommend we explicitly include VHF liaison in our planning. 73, Bruce
