I’ve seen a lot new “hustling” activity on Mattoon and Salem St over the last
few weeks.
Same people going back and forth down the street or around a block by foot or
bicycling.
Glad the police is paying attention.
Remember how bad it was by #66 Mattoon few years ago? This summer is much
quieter in comparison.

it like they're waiting for a ride. They go halfway up or down the block,
cross the street, go down the sidewalk behind the building, a different guy

was eating my lunch on the glider and I heard a police megaphone coming from
the direction of Spring Street, yelling at a guy to stop. The guy booked it
down the street, hung a left at that sidewalk and disappeared, followed by
several cops. He came back in cuffs and they stuffed him in a police car in
front of my house, along with another guy they had caught nearby. Constant
sirens ever since.
