Can you share your information with Goodreads, like you can on the Mobile app?
The Mobile app really makes me want to share to Goodreads because it’s all
there.

Hey, the email to which I am responding actually came to my gmail address!!!
Yes, actually the Kindle for Mac is quite accessible as far as being able to
listenbut I think you still cannot read a Kindle book in braille with the
app. Just get the official Mac application. It at least used to be that the
one from the Mac app store was different from the one on Amazon and not as
accessible so to be safe I would download it directly from Amazon. You can
actually download books in the application too which used to be inaccessible.

Wait, Kindle is accessible, minus this issue, on Mac now? Do I get the
official Kindle Mac client, or what do I need?

When reading Kindle books, both on Kindle and with Reverb, I muted
voiceover. I discovered that after interruptions braille showed me in a
window with my full user name, not just the short form that shows in the
home directory, and a dimmed blank for password. If I tried to vo-tab away
from this window the window would disappear and it couldn't be found with
vo-f2 twice. I think this window is the source of the mysterious login
announcements some of us have noticed for a while and I am speculating that
the stoppage of Kindle's text to speech is related to this and is due to a
loss of focus. I have screensaver set to "never" and I use auto login so I
cannot figure out what triggers this and given that the password field is
dimmed I don't think the purpose of the window is actually to request me to
log in. I just wish this would go away but it has been around for a while
now and it still remains with every update. While I hear the words I never
actually get placed in this window when voiceover is not muted. I can not
help but wonder how many other focus issues and other abnormal behaviors are
the result of the popping up of this window.
