That is interesting. You are saying that while you can't 'see' the log-in
window with VO you can 'see' it with your braille reader ?
Have you been able to 'see' it with your braille reader while VO is unmuted ?
So it may be apparent to a sighted person.

When reading Kindle books, both on Kindle and with Reverb, I muted voiceover.
I discovered that after interruptions braille showed me in a window with my
full user name, not just the short form that shows in the home directory, and
a dimmed blank for password. If I tried to vo-tab away from this window the
window would disappear and it couldn't be found with vo-f2 twice. I think
this window is the source of the mysterious login announcements some of us
have noticed for a while and I am speculating that the stoppage of Kindle's
text to speech is related to this and is due to a loss of focus. I have
screensaver set to "never" and I use auto login so I cannot figure out what
triggers this and given that the password field is dimmed I don't think the
purpose of the window is actually to request me to log in. I just wish this
would go away but it has been around for a while now and it still remains
with every update. While I hear the words I never actually get placed in this
window when voiceover is not muted. I can not help but wonder how many other
focus issues and other abnormal behaviors are the result of the popping up of
this window.
