Hello Ford and all:

The Iphone is not a bad introduction. If you are just wanting a feel for it dropping buy an apple store couldn't hurt.

Thanks for that info. It confirms my understanding. Too bad! It would be a good introduction.

Hello Ford and all:

Currently the Ipod touches do not talk. It is anticipated that they will speak with the next upgrade for them though as of now they do not ... at least out of the box. Now, if there is another way to do it then someone else will have to comment upon that ...

I apologize if this is an old question. However, I have just joined the list. I'm really a Windows user, but am considering the eventual purchase of a Mac/Iphone.

In the mean time, it would appear that the Ipod Touch with the latest firmware upgrade should talk like th Iphone. I've gotten differing opinions about this from others. Is there any definitive answer short of buying one and trying it? (KInd of an expensive test)

Thanks for your answers/thoughts.
