to play a sax sample from the jam pack. first make sure you are in a midi track. oops sorry software instrument track. then VO right arrow until you hear track info. enable that button then it will give you the instrument panel. VO arrow round the window and then select the instrument and audition it with your midi instrument. this works in instrument category and patch. so select the relevant category and then VO right arrow or tab to the patch window to select the patch. then you're ok as I remember lollew On 11 Mar 2008, at 12:00, vashaun jones wrote:How do I pull up the list of saxophones and begin to play them? I set up a full 16 channelmidi 8 channel audio project for a rundown test and I couldn't edit atrack nor get info on each channel.the only way around this for recording tracks is to get a midi controlsurface with faders, controller pots and more.navigating the sound pallette for each software track can be done but it is sluggish at times and is a little irritating but none the lessits navigateable master track issue. not exactly the best function going and notreally editable. more effects support, true mastering tools etc wouldbe a good idea. Sorry to rain on people's days here but to be honest after havingtaken some time and some recent tests. forget garage band. I am doing some work at present which I will be revealing soon. cant say anything just yet but if you're from mac visionaries and know me then you'llknow my knowledge of the audio recording software market. if you relally need my help with garage band and want a directtutorial then contact me on skype at lewisjbrock. I will be happy tosupport you as best as I can lewis On 10 Mar 2008, at 16:45, David Poehlman wrote:can you answer the questions on the list pleae? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lewis Brock" <lewisjbrock@xxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, March 10, 2008 12:37 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: regarding garage band hi thereplease contact me on skype regarding garage band. Here are a few of the problems I’veuncovered. Please let me know if there are work-arounds for theseproblems, because if there are, then we should definitely put our heads together and come up with a guide for VO users. The track listing is not accessible. I can record a track, and thenI can record a new track, but I can’t then go and select one of those tracks and edit it because I can’t access a track list. 2. The list of provided instruments isn’t labeled. I think it would be possible to memorize where each instrument list is, but then when you click on the main instrument, you have to select categories within that instrument which are also not accessible.Once you can actually get to a list of instruments—say, jazz bass, you can read through the various names of the jazz bass soundoptions. However, getting to that point is incredibly challenging.I can’t figure out a way to drag and drop the provided instrumentsor loops into a track…I can only listen to their samples. There doesn’t seem to be a way to edit individual tracks. I’d love to know if you guys have found work-arounds for theseissues, because if garage band’s not quite accessible, I’m going tohave to resort to Cakewalk. <sad sigh>Lewis Brock Totally Blind musician and composer of 21st century music PHONE: +44 07857 352828 E-MAIL: lewisjbrock@xxxxxxx MSN: lewis.brock@xxxxxxxxxxxxx SKYPE: lewisjbrockClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below. //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverLewis Brock Totally Blind musician and composer of 21st century music PHONE: +44 07857 352828 E-MAIL: lewisjbrock@xxxxxxx MSN: lewis.brock@xxxxxxxxxxxxx SKYPE: lewisjbrockClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverLewis Brock Totally Blind musician and composer of 21st century music PHONE: +44 07857 352828 E-MAIL: lewisjbrock@xxxxxxx MSN: lewis.brock@xxxxxxxxxxxxx SKYPE: lewisjbrockClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Webinterface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceoverLewis Brock Totally Blind musician and composer of 21st century music PHONE: +44 07857 352828 E-MAIL: lewisjbrock@xxxxxxx MSN: lewis.brock@xxxxxxxxxxxxx SKYPE: lewisjbrockClick on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover
