[macvoiceover] looking at a mac

I am seriously looking at getting a mac laptop but I have some questions.
Is there things I would need a pc for?
What is a good word-processing program that works with vo and is there
accessible ocr program for vo? I know email and internet is good in other
words this would be my only computer and I would need it to do everything.
