You shouldn't need sighted assistance, but if you feel safer, it doesn't hurt to have a sighted person to step you through this. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.

hi all,
My macbook goes very slow and I have done a disk checkup 2 times.
The disk needs to be repaired. The message is that I should boot my macbook from the install-dvd and then I should repair the hd.
<perhaps strange or not: the permission checkup is done well.

Can I do this my self as blind user or do I need sighted assistance for this because voiceover can't work perhaps when the macbook is booted from dvd?

any experiences are very welcome.
