[macvoiceover] confused regarding pop ups

Hi all, which way is the correct way to deal with pop ups, because,
often times, when I press vo space bar on a pop up, and arrow down to
the item I want to check, and press vo space bar on it, I find I can't
get out of the pop up box, and Mike Arrigo indicated on one of his
podcasts, that you just arrow down to the item you want, and without
checking it, with vo space bar, you can press enter, and the newly
checked item will be checked, and the pop up closes, so I'm confused,
because the quick start says 1 way, yet people are doing this another
way, so thanks in advance for any information, as I get stuck in the
pop up boxes in programs like skype.
