Check under sound preferences what input is being used, careful changing output

Go ahead, do whatever you like, as long as it doesn't matter what you get in
return.

Okey dokey, something showed up today in a Zoom conference call, suddenly
everyone could hear my Voiceover text coming over the call. I was on my Mac,
using a headsetwith an in-line mic, like a wired IPhone headset, but with a
standard plug. I switched to a headset without micand that made the problem
audio stop. Apparently it was clearly coming through the computer, not that
my headphone was too close to the mic or anything physical…I originally only
had one earbud in and the other was a few inches away from the mic, but that
wasn’t it. I’ll use a work around of doing the Zoom call through my phone
tomorrow, but I’m curious as to what might be happening here.
Cheers,
Ian
