ahh... ok. And I wasn't trying to get definsive, sorry if you took it that way. I see now what you're saying. You're right, to go caracter by character it is easier to interact. I generally have found on my end that I didn't have to, but, you are right, that may make it easier if you do.
Sorry for that little misunderstanding. I see now why you're doing that. Makes sinse.

I will repeat what I already said because I just tested it again. In System Profiler, I could hear all the information for hardware overview, including the serial number, without interacting. However, in order to isolate the specific serial number line and move by word and character, I DID have to interact with hardware overview. I am running the latest version of Leopard. What does or does not work on Tiger or on somebody else's machine I can't say. -- Cheryl "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."Click on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.com Manage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below. //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover
