my stream still has this issue but the booksense isue is slightly different because they are apparently running some weird bluetooth.

Well, this gets more interesting. Apparently it really must be a driver issue of some sort. While I can't mount the BookSense on the Mac, it *does* mount on a GNU/Linux machine; specifically, I tried mounting it on a machine running Ubuntu 8.10. Doing so, I was able to see the files and folders on the SD card installed in the BookSense. Just a bit more trivia to add, I guess.
