\I've never had to do this particular thing, but you shouldn't need a
multi--touch trackpad.
If you've got a normal trackpad or mouse, just click twice with the button for
a double click.
If you don't, the VO mouse click is vo-shift-space. So route the cursor, check
it's in the right place with vo-f5 and use either of those and it should work.
