Initially it did not name the column when I set it to 1, but after checking and experimenting it now does. When I set the header row number to 2 it now reads the name of the column when moving left or right but not when moving up or down. Thanks as I also wanted this information when moving from one column to another without having to go back up to the top of the column to check which column I am in. To set the header row or column count, go to the menu bar, activate the table menu. Scroll down the the head rows sub menu, arrow right to open the sub-menu. Click on the number of header rows you want. I generally use 1. Same thing for header columns, then VO should read the contents of the first cell in a row as you arrow up and down. This also works in Pages, except you don’t have a table menu. Access it through the formatter, in the tables section. There are pop up menus in that section for header columns and rows.
