Hi James, welcome to the list. From what I've read, Leopard will support the Pacmate Braille displays both at installation/update time and during your mac sessions. I was hoping that my BrailleNote mPower would be supported, but this is not the case, at least for now. Hope that helps, and once again a very warm welcome to you. I am a just on your mailing list about the Mac i.e. macvoiceover. I have been very interested in Mac's for a very long time but they have never been Accessible to me. I have been using a PC for well over 20 Years But the Mac has always hold a interest in me. I am a Deafblind person so I would not be able to use the voiceover with the Apple Mac can not hear it, but I have read a time ago that Apple was going to add Support for Braille displays with the new Leopard. I have a number of Braille displays a PowerBrailler 80 and a 40 but these are for the peripheral ports. The Mac only use USB or FireWire I have a PacMateBX420 I hope to use the Braille display to access the Mac on the USB. I have no sight what so ever so Braille is a must. I am thinking of buying the New iMac with 20-inch, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB memory and 500GB hard drive. But May I ask Please do you think that the new Leopard will give good support for Braille users or am I just fooling myself here. I now that it is only a few days before Leopard comes out. and We all with now sooner or latter. I have very little knowledge of mac's operating system but will learn as I go if it has good braille Access to it. I have been on the apple site and there is so very little info about this. I believe that we all are in the same boat here But Just thought I would ask. Sorry for going on a bit. all the best to you Yours James The highest result of education is tolerance.
