There used to be a program called braille edit I think thwt would do this. But this was quite a long time ago and it was for the old apple2 series computers.

Hi everyone,I'm not sure if a Braille emulator is the correct term for what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an application for my Mac that will allow me to use 6 key Braille input, and then be able to save the Braille file I create. So, an app that will allow me to input Braille using the fds and jkl keys on my keyboard. Is there such a thing out there? Preferably free or inexpensive. If such an app is available, will it work with the aluminum keyboards? Thanks in advance for any help with this.
