OK. You did check Finder preferences though? Unless iCloud drive is
turned off, that’s the only other possibility that comes to mind.

Hi John
Yes I had already done the steps you provided. This is what I got in the
side bar:
expanded disclosure triangle favorites
drop box
all my files
air drop applications
desk top
documents
downloads
music
movies
pictures
expanded disclosure triangle devices
MacIntosh
expanded disclosure triangle tags
red
orange
yellow
green
blue
purple
gray
all tags
Then I went to finder preferences and under side bar I got this:
show these in the side bar
favorites
all my files checked
air drop checked
applications checked
desktop checked
documents checked
downloads checked
movies checked
music checked
pictures checked
Barbara Jones unchecked
shared
back to my Mac checked
connected servers checked
Bonjour computers checked
Devices
Barbara’s Mack Book Pro unchecked
hard discs checked
external discs checked
cds, dvds and ipods checked
Tags
recent tags checked
There was no iCloud drive anywhere!
I must be missing something somewhere so that is why I wrote down
everything I found.

I might have missed this as I just got back from traveling and am
catching up, but what are the steps you are using to view the sidebar. It
should be something like,
1. Open Macintosh HD
2. You will be on the browser, so VO left arrow to the sidebar.
3. Interact with the sidebar.
4. Use the VO keys to navigate up and down the sidebar.
Also, check Finder preferences and select, Sidebar, from the toolbar
to be sure you don’t have iCloud drive unchecked.

Okay, I guess I just don’t understand because as I back out of
documents and go back to users and then close that I come to MacIntosh
HD. If I open that and go to the side bar vo reads that I am on 13 of
22 items but I cannot get to all 22 of those items. They only read
applications library system, user guides, users and that’s it.
I am totally confused!
Thanks

Just to add to what John has said. Maybe open something in the finder
and try to see if your I cloud drive is showing in the sidebar.
I hope that helps.

I’m coming in late here, but double-check that you have iCloud

Could I have some setting turned off? I tried the keystroke on my
desk top at the MacIntosh Hd but got nothing. I went to users, then
to my name and then to my documents in finder and tried it again and
still got nothing. Maybe I am not using the keystroke in the right
place??

Really? It works for me over here. I hit that from the finder and I
get the icloud drive. I then see all the documents and stuff I have
stored including some notes from this month. Granted I'm using el
capitan but that key stroke has not changed since they introduced
icloud drive.
Blessings and happy Monday

Hello
Somehow when I saved a few documents, they wound up being saved
in iCloud. I was unaware of this. I was looking for one of them
and could not find it so I saved a document and saw that things
were saving to iCloud.
Where would I find my documents? I can’t find iCloud on my
computer which is a Mac Book Pro still using Mavericks.
Thanks a lot.
