Set the rotor to what you wish to use. Then go to the voice over in
settings, and rotor, and then remove punculation from it and it will not
happen anymore

Subject: [mac4theblind] Strange problem with voice over on iphone
Hi friends,
Since last night, I am experiencing a strange behavior with my voice over on
my iPhone. It is saying all the punctuation marks despite the setting being
on some. I double checked with the roter settings and in the voice over
verbosity. It is very annoying when it keeps saying all the punctuation
signs. Any suggestions?
Best,
Manoj************
