So are Macbooks like netbooks for windows? ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Hilbert Poehlman" <poehlman1@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <mac4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 03, 2013 12:31 PM Subject: [mac4theblind] Re: Responding back. Correct, ethernet and optical are built-in.Yes, there is a 13 and a 15. there are a couple of configurations of each. I think we can solve your jaws problem but not on the list. As far as mac, all macs run the same os at least the ones for consumer use do and the only other mac os I know of is for servers and is not that much different. Everything has a learning curve and all systems have their strengts and weaknesses. mac os drops applications out of the loop if they are hung usyually. voiceover will spontaniously re launch if it quits most of the time. Rarely if ever have I seen it just stop talkiung with no way to restart it. you can accidentally turn the speech off or mute the system but those are easy to recover from.. If you want to use the computer while you lare learning the mac so you don't have to contend with two computers, put windows on your mac. I have done this with a couple and it works well although I use bootcamp because I don't need to run the systems simultaniously and when I did try a virtual ewnvironment, I had to scrap it because it became corrupted beyond repair. Also I have a Windows on my computer now since I have a HP Pavilion 6510 currently right now. I do not even know how Windows works so more than likely I probably would not install windows on my new computer. Is this Mac I always tend whatever's called easier to work than windows seven? Does voice over locked up like Giannas does sometimes on the Mac? Sometimes with my computer now since I don't know what Jaws is doing I have to hold the button down on my computer and restart it and then Josh starts to talk. Since I'm hoping to get a job at Apple, I would I would use it for home use and maybe for Apple but I don't know on that Apple stuff but I know it would be for home use. I still plan to keep my old computer though because there is nothing wrong with it Did you say it comes in the 13 inch size? Also will my HP DN 1606 printer print with this computer? The printer plugs into my HP Pavilion 6510 computer. Best wishes, Jenny Bomareto Fan of Mark Chesnutt mchesnutt.fan@xxxxxxxxx Skype name: jenny.bomareto Your Room on Blue Know!!!now available.
