We have about an equal amount of Microsoft devices as well as Apple devices
on the network. Let's see... we have one of the older Kendles, 2 windows
based laptops one on XP, one on Windows 7, an HP Photo Smart 4780C Pritner
which is interfacing via WiFi to my Mac running Lion, one IPod Touch 4G, an
IPhone 4, not the 4S, my macbook, my Apple TV, and a T-Mobile Motorola Charm

I'm just not sure if it would be more suitable to look at the Apple router
to replace this Linksys, as actually this WRT54G is fairly old, admitedly.
Nothing's wrong with it, I just wonder if there're any benefits of one over
the other.

Got the new router firmware.
But it sure threw me for a few minutes until I figured out how to get to
things. I haven't used the IOS app that much to be familiar with it. So,
when I upgraded and couldn't figure out how to get to anything, it really
baffled me for a few minutes until I just pressed enter on one of the items
as a whim and sure enough, there were the items I expected.
Also, I have seen an article which states that the new firmware makes it
possible to get to files on an external storage device connected to the
router via the cloud. However, the article is vague about how this is
accomplished.
In the previous firmware, there was something that one could set up called
back to my mac. One would leave their mac on and could then get to their
files from another mac remotely.
is this the same or different? How does one get to the files via the cloud
from another computer or device like the iPhone or iPad?
If one uses a windows machine remotely, how does one get to the files on the
storage device?
