Mmm you might have a point. I tried to recognize a slightly marked up ten dollar bill. After the EyeNote came up with an error three times, without changing the position of the iPhone or the bill, I opened the looktell money reader which, when it had hardly started up, enthusiastically shouted like a smal child showing up one of his peers before the adults. "ten dolars … ten dollars … ten dollars. Then I set the iPhone on the table, face down and camera up, and proceeded to flip through a wad of money egged on by excited choruses of ``5 dollars 5 dollars 5 dollars… 1 dollar 1 dollar 1 dollar… ten dollars ten dollars ten dollars''. Within about a minute I had a wad of unknown bills organized with the smaller denominations on the outside and the larger ones on the inside. There is definitely no competition as you said. You could argue that you get what you pay for though, given that eyenote is free and looktell is not. On the other hand it seems like eyenote gives you info that looktell does not, identifying the back versus the front of the bill. The guy had a point about the machines that require you to position it with the top facing one way, and how EyeNote might be able to contribute here. But then again, with the extra time you might take in identifying the bill in the first place, you might not really lose time through the old fashioned trail and error method that we used to use in the old days, last year. Another thing I just looked at. They have a feature on EyeNote that communicates the bill amount through good vibrations, one for 1 dollar, 3 for 5 dolars, 4 for ten dollars. I have not looked at other amounts. But this could be useful, not only because you might not want people listening in, but also and more importantly, because you might not be able to hear amid background noise. You know for example if you go to the club and you need to pay for your lap dance, but you can't hear the phone speaking to you over the loud tecno beats.
