Thanks for those commands. They worked nicely.
Should I be able to use the control key to stop VO from talking? When watching
Youtube, I will rewind and I'd like to stop it from talking quickly.

Keith, I can tell you that command option L. will get you into the downloads
folder. Control shift down arrow wall get you to interact with the downloads
folder. And commando will open in the application that you are wanting to open
or any document that you have downloaded and want to open. I hope this helps
you.

Hi,
I am working on learning how to use a Mac Book Air using Voice Over. I am
needing some suggestions on understanding what I should be interacting with.
I often seem to be interacting with titles that lead nowhere or tables that
lead to other tables where I can’t follow the logic.
A basic task I want to learn is how to use and open the finder where
Downloads, Documents, Applications and Recent items live. I go to the doc,
choose finder, and that is where I get stuck. Sometimes I interact with the
right side bar or title bar and I get so excited. Then I close everything
and can’t duplicate it. Let’s just say I have to step away from the computer
in frustration. That is why I am reaching out for help. My daughter uses a
MAC and she says she can see in the finder the applications, downloads,
documents, etc. on the screen but I can’t figure out how to access them.
I would also like to understand how to install applications. It sounds like
the application files that I download to the downloads folder needs to be
copied and pasted in to the applications folder. The problem is that I can’t
seem to get to these folders with much ease or consistency. I was able to
figure out how to do it once and my daughter said that I copied over an image
of the application and not the actual application. Like I said I need more
explanation on how this works.
Appreciate any explanation or pointers.
Thanks,
Keith
