Hi,
I stopped by both LPTV groups at NAB. I saw Warren Trumbly at both. 🙂 They
each draw a different flavor of LPTV owners.
The LPTV Broadcasters Association run by Michael Lee has a similar flavor to
what Mike Gravino had. They want a Class A window for all LPTV broadcasters.
They are more into lobbying the US Congress for bills that favor LPTV.
There is also the Advanced Television Broadcast Alliance. They are more into
ATSC 3.0. They also have legal council and have a rapport with FCC staff.
I joined both groups. It is nice to be connected and to be represented. We
have two different groups, since they appear to have two different visions of
LPTV. I fall into a groups of owner/operators that have independent full power
stations (indies) and have LPTV / Class A stations. My goal is to spread the
Gospel.
Blessings,
Keith

The folks at ATBA I know. Anyone know anything about the folks heading up
the LPTV Broadcasters Association? What is their background and have they been
successful in LPTV?
