Hi Jon,
This is cool. Can the solution take in SDI video and output SDI video? Can
the crawl be turned on and off. When it is turned off, can the video fill the
screen again?
I still need help with creating some .mp4 weather spots a few times a day to
automatically playout via my automation system.

Subject: [lptv] Crawls...
So when I recently relocated my channel equipment to my home office the
computer creating the "L-bar" weather and information graphics stopped working.
I had to come up with a quick solution to keep the local announcements and
weather forecasts going.
So I used an Android TV box with a free digital signage app to create a crawl
at the bottom of the screen. I'm using an Extron DVS 605 processor to put the
video over the crawl using the picture-in-picture (PiP) function. While the
RSS XML file needed for the crawl can be created manually with any text editor,
I modified my CMS (Content Management System) to automate the process.
So far the crawl looks good and there have been no problems - hopefully this
will be a good working solution! Here's what it looks like:
