It seems that Rose and Nancy feel that their personal wishes outweigh that of a hundred or more residents. (sour grapes - you bet). At last word, neither Nancy or Rose want a Chapel here at all, regardless of need. If they are "forced" to start a Chapel, its rumored that they demand the Minister be of the Baptist faith and that they be in charge of choosing everyone associated with the Chapel (choir, committees, etc. etc.). These strange "Management Mandates" are NOT the norm at any of the other local Retirement Resort Communities (Las Palmas included) that we have contacted and communicated with, in regard to "Chapel Services", to date. If I am wrong in what I understand to be the current status of affairs, I apologize. Historically, the ongoing lack of information forthcoming from Management over the past six month period, can and does, lead to misunderstandings among the Residents. In my opinion, the easy road being taken by our "management" toward our Chapel, is not the best one for those Residents that need an easily assessable Religious Service on site. -----Original Message----- From: Myron Nysether <myronnysether@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Mon, Feb 9, 2015 8:45 am Subject: Preaching Event Friends, All of you have mentioned at one time or another that you wanted me to let you know when there would be a time that I would be preaching in the East Mesa area. WELL, I will be preaching at THE RESORT, on Ellsworth just north of Southern next Sunday, FEBRUARY 15, AT 9:00 AM. Since I have not preached a regular Sunday service for awhile (have had several funerals/memorial services), I am naturally excited! You can take the preacher out of the pulpit, but not the pulpit out of the preacher, I guess. Feel free to tell others - I really do not have that many e-mail addresses. I will be preaching twice in March also - the first and the fifteenth at two other parks. Both are near-by. I will let you know places and times. I hope to see many of you at the Resort on the 15th. I miss you very much. I will be preaching on the Gospel for the day, which provides us with an account of the Transfiguration Event, which ended with God The Father speaking out of the cloud. And He said regarding Jesus, "This is My Beloved Son, Listen to Him." My sermon title will be "Listen To Him." Well, again, I look forward to seeing many of you next Sunday at The Resort. Pr. Myron
