I came across a very good analysis of LTSP performance and scalability.

It explains thru graphs and tables the requirement of memory for
different nubmer of clients and for different programs like OPEN
OFFICE,MOZILLA,KONQUERER ETC.

Its 500KB, and 50 pages in size.
