[lit-ideas] takeover in Oaxaca?

I just heard the weirdest item on NPR. Apparently, some women (who?) in
Oaxaca have taken over the airwaves there, holding employees of the radio
station (and tv?) hostage.

Why? The interviewee--editor of the Oaxacan Times--said something
unintelligible about this action being the women's retaliation for having
been tear-gassed. For what? What's been going on in Oaxaca? The NPR
interviewer didn't seem to understand, either.

Frustrating intimation of news. Anyone know about this particular example?

Carol
