I wonder if you use "maybe". I do, when I want to sound American. Otherwise I use "p´rhaps". Now: maybe is originally "may + be", right?
Therefore, it is grammatical to use it as an adverb, "Maybe a whore". Shouldn´t that be: "She may be a whore" J. L.
