I mentioned reading Islamic Fundamentalism, the New Global Threat, by the Iranian exile Mohammad Mohaddessin, I mentioned that his organization was the most serious political threat to Khomeini's party until the latter cracked down on the former. They jailed, executed and drove out of the country its members. Writing from exile, Mohaddessin says it is not too late for the U.N. to institute "all out sanctions on Tehran." http://www.ncr-iran.org/content/view/1381/76/ Perhaps these sanctions would work if the U.N. could agree on this matter, but is that likely?
