From today's NYT:

"At most major red carpet events, choices like these would be referred to as 
misfires. Here at the Met Gala, they imply merely that the attendants took the 
theme to heart."

Shouldn't that read 'implicate merely' -- thus combining Grice's and McEvoy's 
favourite words in the same sentence?
