Marlena: what are these airstrikes hitting? Who? Are they all out in the middle of nowhere ... no other infrastructure to hit?


It was well publicized long before the war---in fact during Clinton's second term when he struck the Iraqi intelligence buildings in Baghdad with missiles---that Saddam had a regular strategy of placing militarily sensitive targets near humanitarian sites likes schools, hospitals, and orphanages. That way, if we did have the audacity to strike, he could play the humanitarian victim card against us.
