Wouldn't it be an act of national solidarity that would bring the country
together at this difficult time and ensure the popularity of a name that may
not feature so prominently in the list of the nation's children for some time
to come unless emergency steps are taken now, if the President were instead
to nominate for the Supreme Court a lawyer named Katrina? It would at least
ensure the Court had a female presence or a transsexual and would send a
powerful message of inclusivity and even redemption.
