Cheers, I did a bit of Googling and found that there are quite a few examples of statutes of what is called the "Offering Buddha" some of which seem to look like the one that you describe. I gave up before I found any explanation of the iconography associated with the offering Buddha. I hope that this helps. -- Peter D.
