I watched the (over-hyped) CNN segment on the end of the world by Paula Zahn
and was really disappointed with the milquetoast presentation. Falwell tried
mightily to give a sanitized version of how he and the true believers would
be raptured into the bosom of Christ while the rest of the world writhed
with god-inflicted cataclysms. I know he pulled his punches. I could have
done a better job with the lurid imagery of Revelation.

I was surprised, however, to learn that Bush could be the agent who puts the
mark of the beast on the forehead of the lost and the doomed (Rev. 13:16-18)
if he approves the implantation of microchips carrying medical information
into humans - or any other kind of universal identification system using
numbers.

Perhaps tonight was not the right time to REALLY describe the destruction of
everyone who doesn't believe in the truth as revealed to Falwell and his
colleagues. Would sound too much like another group in the news.

And Zahn was obviously not a true believer. She had to begin with a lesson
on vocabulary.
