One year the nun assigned to my hall at MSV was Sister Aletheia.

_Alethea_ (http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=Alethea)
fem. proper name, from Gk. aletheia "truth," from alethus "true," lit. "not
concealing," from priv. prefix a- "not" + lethe "forgetfulness, oblivion."

--- So the etymology agrees with Ginzburg's view. To tell the truth is to
fight against oblivion. And oblivions must, by definition, then be _false_.
Odd
view the Greeks had.

Cheers,

JL
