I just installed Mandrake 8.2 on my Duron 1000 system and its pretty great except... When I installed it I had my Gateway 19" on it instead of the usual Acer 17". Today I put the 19" back on its system and the Acer 17" on the Mandrake 8.2. When I try to boot, it goes all the way to the log in, right before it launches Gnome, and then it crashes. The monitor itself displays the "Out of Range" message. Checking the boot logs the final entry is simply "VMS: " with no message after it. Can someone point me in the right direction to how to change out the monitor in failsafe/configure workstation mode? I could just reinstall Mandrake 8.2, of course, but that would be cheating, or something. thanks moo-cho CarteBlancher
