Typically what people do is to add the unicode.dis table to the list
of tables. That way the output should be unicode and should match
your expected braille sting as you specify it in the first test. See
tests/yaml/en-ueb-g1_harness.yaml
(https://github.com/liblouis/liblouis/blob/master/tests/yaml/en-ueb-g1_harness.yaml)
for some examples.

Okay. Perhaps, again, it'd help if the documentation would explain this.

I was pretty proud of my docs (http://liblouis.org/documentation/liblouis.html#YAML-Tests) but I'm certainly not a technical doc writer. One thing that you already mentioned that the lou_checkyaml tool should be mentioned, but if you'd have more suggestions I'm happy to listen or even accept patches.

Thanks
Christian
