Thanks for your in depth reply!

I'm really sorry that I didn't merge #633. Release day is always a crazy
frenzy and we are scrambling to get all the stuff in. I had to cut a
number of corners and I didn't realize that #633 would have been a
no-brainer and could have gone in without a problem. If it is any
consolation, I also had to punt the spaces change (#585) again that I
wanted to be in two releases ago.
Another problem is that I'm not an expert in all fields. A patch like
#639 requires good knowledge of windows and the implications of type
casting in C. For things like that I rely on external experts. Davy has
helped in the past. Maybe I should rely on you Leonard as you seem to
know what you are doing.
Yes, I understand. Again, I'm sorry. I'm only human and do what I can to
get the PRs out the door.
What I like about the current regime with regular, self imposed
artificial deadlines is that it forces us to get off our buts and
actually do the work it takes to integrate all the patches and sent in
new tables. I also like the simplicity of it. With just Bert and I as
maintainers it needs to be simple, so that we can have a just few days
of frenzy and after the release hopefully go back to our regular jobs.
No problem at all. We are not super human, well Bert might be :-), but
I'm not. So we can always use help. If other interested parties are
willing to step and help with the process in we'd be more than happy to
accommodate.
