Actually, the definitions are not in the semantic character pairs section and I don't have the tildas in there. The lines in Nemeth.ctb are: always [ 4-12356 always ] 4-23456 All of the characters defined in the semantic character pairs section are preceeded by the ^ character. I don't understand what these sections are doing, so I don't know how to fix this issue. The tilde is actually coming out in the braille instead of forcing the semantic pair. Sometimes it does that and sometimes it doesn't, but I am not sure why.
