For clarification of issue for any contraction followed by special character

The ‘dis’ contraction should only be used with the ‘dis’ is the first syllable
of a word. Punctuation symbols are a word delimiter and so these are indeed
errors in the table. Maybe difficult to cover because it involves syllable
divisions. In short, yes, the en-ueb-g2 table needs to be corrected.

fifth character as follows:
Case 1: no contraction of “dis”

Case 2: contraction of “dis” for some special characters

This does not make sense until someone could address the inconstant logic in
liblouis. You may want to check with liblouis group.

The UEB rulebook disagrees with this.
Per 10.6.1, you can use "dis" when the letters it represents form the first
syllable of a word. "Disc" is given as a specific example of when not to use
the "dis" contraction. That also applies to words like "dish", "dishevel",
"dispirited", etc.
It can be used following a capital sign, but the rules are more complicated if
there are multiple capital letters or capital terminators involved.

I just noticed that two words that begin with “dis” do not use contraction on
the first braille cell as both words are being displayed on four cells instead
of two cells:
Disc
Disk
DISC
DISK
Disc… as such as discs
Disk… as such as disks
Disc=, disc+, disc_, disc/, disc\, disc|, disc@, disc#, disc$, disc%, disc^,
disc&, disc*, disc~ use contraction of “dis”
Disk followed by same special character as disc uses contraction of “dis”.
Please fix these issues for liblouis 3.0 for grade 2 UEB that JAWS 18 will be
using.
