[LRflex] Zeiss 50

Hi everyone, my first post for a long time.
I have Zeiss 50 1.4 and Nikon 50 F1.4 for my F3HP. Also Pentax 50 1.4 for
K10d.
Have 50 f2 summicron R on my R3.
All are excellent at 5.6. Summicron is the best wide open, Zeiss and Nikon
a tiny fraction less sharp but minimal differnce, wide open both are a
littlesoft on corners, Pentax more so but acceptable.
Of all lenses I would choose the Zeiss as colour rendition is superb and
always seems to produce fabulous images. I also have 85 Zeiss on F3HP and
isa stunning lens.
I have no explanation as to why other users have found Zeiss soft at greater
than 5.6, but then again I have a Leica zoom that is very poor, a waste of
$600 on eBay.
