I agree inasfar the camera should be able to meter wide open and have a DOF preview button, but for that you do not need a DSLR. My main point is the viewfinder. It is much easier and cheaper to build a G1-viewer type camera than a new full-frame DSLR. Keep it simple. Of course it should cost much less than an M9.
