Some time back, fellow flexer, Bill Abbott, send me a private email, tellling
me about Nanaimo bars ... a confection he'd found in the NY Times (or somewhere
similar),
Nanaimo bars are a confection that has been in our family as long as I can
remember.
Rose made these, yesterday.

Nanaimo bar is a Canadian, no-bake dessert named for the city of Nanaimo,
British Columbia, where it originated, back when the earth was still cooling.
A regional favourite, it became popular nationwide after being highlighted as a
classic Canadian dessert at Expo 86.
If you want to try these, yourself, while "sheltering in place", or merely
staying indoors, several good recipes can be found, here:

Enjoy!
David.
PS: Nanaimo is pronounced Nan-eye-mo.
