Mainly to see what happens with the usual neophyte re-actions of "magical moments" even though you may delete them all later. Set everything on automatic and just blaze away rookie fashion having fun enjoying the initial moments and captured photo situations. Get over the "WOW LOOK AT THIS STAGE" quickly. Once you get through this phase and showing everyone around you who'll stop and look at what you can do. Get serious with the manual step by step through the routine learning how to really get the best out of the new machine. Never mind trying to learn everything in the manual front to back at first go around, that's a waste of time. Because at first you'll not likely require everything written. If you do try to learn it all at once the chances are you'll forget it before you seriously require the settings. No different in learning to drive, it's one thing at a time and once that's mastered move onto the next. Gradually the machine in hand wont feel any different than the film camera you've used for years. Just as simple as breathing. ted ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www3.telus.net/~telyt/lrflex.htm Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
