My wife always wanted to have an MGB-GT because she loved the look of the
car. I was less enthusiastic because of my past experience with Little
British Cars (a '59 Austin Healy Sprite) and the extra weight of the GT
which made it tail-heavy. But, we stumbled on a '69 MGC-GT, and I decided
that I could be the pit crew on such a rarity. My wife was disappointed
that the car lacked a radio and thought I was kidding when I told her she
needed to listen for parts falling off the car.
That is, until one day she was driving along and heard something fall off
that turned out to be the wheel hub nut followed shortly by a wire wheel!
Fortunately, it was on a local street so she was going slowly at the time
and there was no damage.
