As I'd mentioned on one of the other lists...it was shot in the=20 midst of a tropical downpour, in a Rain Forest. About an inch of rain in = 20 minutes. To make things even more difficult, I was shooting on the Sarapiqu=ED =20 River, from a boat with about 20 other folks in it, all moving about...=20 not to mention the vibration of the outboard motor and the motion of=20 the boat itself. The saving grace was that I was under cover - so the=20 cameras stayed dry. Were I to go again, I'd never substitute the 80~200 Vario Elmar and 2x=20 converter for the 400mm Telyt. I'd always used 100 ISO in the tropics =20 - and never felt the need for more speed. Until I hit the rain forrest,=20 on a rainy day. I needed ISO 3200 to axchieve a 1/250th second shutter=20 speed. Without that, I've have been sunk! Still, I considered myself very lucky. I got off about 8 or 9 shots of = the Anhinga and about 3 are sharp as tacks! I think that's pretty good, = considering the conditions. :-) Watch this space for other Costa Rican bird photos... coming soon, to a = computer screen near you!
